Clay Wauneka, PhD

Clinical Research Engineer

Clayton N. Wauneka completed his Ph.D. in Bioengineering in 2017 within the Biomechanics and Neural Engineering tracks at the University of Kansas. His research included the development of a gait training device for stroke survivors receiving treadmill training. His research interests include assistive device design, motor control, and movement biomechanics. Since 2018, Clayton has served as a Clinical Research Engineer in the Brooks Motion Analysis Center and Clinical Research Center. He contributes to clinical assessments as well as several neuromuscular research studies focused on breathing and walking control. Clayton also participates in the Innovative Clinical Technology Department at Brooks Rehabilitation.
