Health System Implementation of Clinical Practice Guidelines for Neck and Low Back Pain in Outpatient Physical Therapy Settings Study

This study addresses a critical barrier to the progression of physical therapy management for spine related musculoskeletal pain by evaluating a multifaceted intervention for clinical practice guidelines (CPG) implementation. The study also aims to identify barriers and facilitators for sustained implementation during routine clinical practice.

The impact of this proposed line of research could provide additional stimulus for policy changes that result in physical therapy as a viable first line treatment option for preventing the development and maintenance of chronic musculoskeletal pain.
