Brooks Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Fellows Present at AAOMPT National Conference

The American Association of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy recently hosted their 2022 annual “Inspire” conference in San Diego, California. Healthcare professionals from all over the country attended the conference to learn from experts and keynote speakers as well as participate in activities such as breakout sessions, social gatherings, and abstract presentations.

Among the presenters were Brooks clinicians and Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Fellows Amber Custodi, PT, DPT, CSCS and Patrick Pham, PT, DPT. The two clinicians presented on case studies they conducted during their Brooks Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy (OMPT) Fellowship mentored by Residency Coordinator Trent Harrison, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT and Clinical Research Scientist of the Brooks/UF-PHHP Research Collaboration, Dr. Joel Bialosky, PT, PhD, OCS, FAAOMPT.

Amber Custodi presented her case study, “A mechanistic based approach to managing a patient with chronic pain following a complex surgical history at the ankle.” Patrick Pham presented on “Isometrics for exercise-induced hypoalgesia with an individual with patellofemoral pain syndrome.”
