Dr. Paris is board certified by both the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. He received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and spent his internship in the field of internal medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center, located in southern California. While there, he went on to complete his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Spending a number of years in Tennessee prior to joining Brooks, Dr. Paris previously served as the Medical Director of Rehabilitation Services for the Tennessee Christian Medical Center for more than 15 years. He also acted as President of the Tennessee Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Dr. Paris is a member of the Brooks Rehabilitation Medical Group and has been with Brooks for more than 10 years. He has specialized in the rehabilitation management of patients with stroke and cardiac conditions and have been principal investigator in a number of research studies investigating improved methods of stroke recovery.
