The Brooks Rehabilitation Home Health West Region, which includes teams in Palatka, The Villages, Gainesville and Lake City, recently obtained both 5-Star status on Medicare.gov Home Health Compare and a SHPBestโข Home Health Patient Satisfaction Award.
โOur home health teams strive for excellence every day. Weโre honored to be recognized by both Medicare.gov and SHPBest โข for the high quality care and dedication that our teams provide each of our patients,โ said Melissa Cooper, VP of Operations for Brooks Rehabilitation Home Health.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) built the Care Compare website on Medicare.gov as a key tool to help consumers choose a home health care provider. It is designed to be an easy-to-access, convenient official source of information about provider quality. The rating, between 1 to 5 stars, is calculated using each home health agency’s scores on seven individual quality measures, which are based on home health agency patient assessments and Medicare claims. Brooks was one of three 5-star agencies in the coverage area.
Additionally, the Brooks Rehabilitation Home Health West Region received a Superior Performer Award, ranking in the top 20% of home health providers, in the annual Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP)Bestโข program. The award was created to acknowledge home health agencies that consistently provide high quality service to their patients. SHPBest award recipients are determined by ranking the overall score for all SHP Home Health Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS) clients. With the largest HHCAHPS benchmark in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize organizations that have made patient satisfaction a priority and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on the HHCAHPS survey.
