I love Brooks so much, because not only do you have great doctors, you got a great team. From your charge nurse, from your nurse managers.
How often do you see the CEO come down on the floor and check on you? I can’t tell you how many times Doug Baer has come onto the floor and says, “Hey, how’s everything going? Is everything good here? Is there anything we need to work on?”
Maria Gmitter, RN, BSN, MSN, Case Manager, Home Health
So I just moved to Jacksonville from New York. And when I was planning my move and looking for a job, I picked Brooks Rehab because of their community reputation. I knew people who had already worked here and they have great things to say about Brooks.
Eric Shavers, LPN, Home Health
And when you think about someone that’s somewhere that you wanna work, you wanna choose somebody that’s reputable. You know, that’s pretty much a leader out there. So Brooks is the standard name. It’s a household name.
Misty Brown, RN, BSN, Custom Care, Home Health
I know that our clients are very excited when they hear that Brooks is coming to treat them. We’re known for our hospital. They can transition into a rehab facility. From there, they can transition into the home and still continue to have Brooks’ care. And then after they’re discharged from home care, they’re able to go to our outpatient facilities and still have the same quality Brooks’ care.
Maria Gmitter, RN, BSN, MSN, Case Manager, Home Health
The foundation that Brooks offers allows me to go above and beyond knowing I have that support behind me.
Paige Matthews, RN, Brain Injury/Pediatrics, Inpatient
At Brooks, they care about me. They care about my nursing. They care about the work that we do here. From the doctors, you’re asking a question, being very responsive and answering you. You know, no question is a dumb question in their eyes. You know, it’s all for patient care.
Eric Shavers, LPN, Home Health
It’s diverse as far as anywhere I’ve ever worked. I mean, as far as management, as well as Brooks pushes a lot of education. I feel like they’re geared towards all disciplines so it’s not one sided. But Brooks kinda pushes you to grow and develop in different disciplines.
Misty Brown, RN, BSN, Custom Care, Home Health
I love working at Brooks because I know we work as a family. We work as a team from the top, down. Listening to Doug Baer in the all staff meetings, you know that he has our back and he has our best interests.
Maria Gmitter, RN, BSN, MSN, Case Manager, Home Health
Work-life balance is huge to me and huge part of my life. And I think that Brooks offers you the opportunity to care for your patients while you are also being cared for.
Eric Shavers, LPN, Home Health
Brooks has been the least stressful job I’ve ever had as far as the workload, and you know, just having help, filling supported from management, you know, all the way from supervisors, all the way up to CEO. I mean, I feel like it’s a very good company to work for.
Paige Matthews, RN, Brain Injury/Pediatrics, Inpatient
It is miracles what we’re performing here, just miracles. And I love to watch it. I love to be in the hallway. I love to cheer my patients on because at the end of the day, it’s about them. And it’s why I became a nurse, is to help people.
Maria Gmitter, RN, BSN, MSN, Case Manager, Home Health
The people you work for either make your life easier or make your life harder. And the people I work for make my life easier so that I can impact all the patients’ lives.
Paige Matthews, RN, Brain Injury/Pediatrics, Inpatient
Working at Brooks isn’t just a job, it’s a career.
