Corey sustained his injury at 17 after diving into shallow water. He can ambulate with a cane and drive with no assistive devices other than an automatic transmission. His biggest challenge post-injury was figuring out his new future. He has participated in the Neuro Recovery Center, Adaptive Sports, Cyberdyne, research studies and SCI day treatment. He has also started playing with the Brooks Bandits Quad wheelchair rugby team. Corey is comfortable discussing all aspects of life with a spinal cord injury.
