Brooks Pediatric Residency Receives Accreditation

The Brooks Institute of Higher Learning continues to expand its first-class educational programs with the announcement of the accreditation of its Pediatric Residency by the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education.

“The residency programs provide students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence that they need to go into their specialty areas of practice,” said Brooks IHL Director Bob Rowe. “With the specialty training they can really perform at the high level that we would want to receive if it was us or one of our family members as a patient. “

The accreditation of the Pediatrics programs puts Brooks in a tie with Duke University for the title of largest Physical Therapy clinical post-professional residency and fellowship programs in the United States. Both Brooks and Duke currently have five residencies and one fellowship program. Brooks is also currently in the process of obtaining pursuing accreditation for its recently created Sports Physical Therapy Residency.

Brooks other residency programs include: Orthopaedics, Women’s Health, Geriatrics, Neurology and aas well as an Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship. These programs are the backbone of the IHL, which provide world-class educational opportunities to the local and regional healthcare community.
