The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has caused major disruptions in almost every industry including healthcare.
Initial predictions for the number of hospitalized cases for North Florida reflected that there may not be enough hospital beds and Intensive Care Unit capacity to accommodate the number of patients in need.
I am proud of all of the hospital leaders and their respective teams for the heroic work done to provide clinically excellent care keeping everyone safe in the process and to prepare for a surge in COVID-19 patients.
