Preparing for your hospital stay

To help make your or your loved one’s hospital stay more comfortable, we’ve created a thoughtful list of items to bring, along with answers to common questions. We’re here for you every step of the way, and want you to feel cared for and supported throughout your stay.

Items to bring during your stay

  • Insurance cards
  • List of all medications being taken as well as any food allergies (pharmacies are available onsite)
  • At least 4-5 sets of therapy-appropriate clothing (comfortable, gym-like attire)
  • Clothes to sleep in
  • One pair of shoes (tennis shoe-style with a solid back is recommended)
  • Personal toiletries (Basic toiletries are provided, but you may prefer your own)
  • Pillows and blankets if desired (bedding will be provided, but you may prefer your own)
  • Snacks or food items, if desired. There is a mini-refrigerator in each patient room
    • Please keep in mind any dietary restrictions
  • Laundry essentials: there is a washer and dryer on each floor that are free to use. However, detergent is not provided
  • Cell phone or laptop, electronics, along with chargers and any other necessary accessories such as reading materials.

What not to bring

  • Valuables
  • Large amounts of cash
  • Expensive technology devices

Please understand that we cannot accept responsibility for valuables left in the patient’s room. You may wish to leave money, jewelry and credit cards with a family member or at home.  We ask that you understand that any items you choose to keep in your possession are your responsibility.

In-room food service

With a dietician on staff, meals are prepared for the patients daily with their diet restrictions and needs in mind. Patients are provided with a menu to order meals each day from the hostess. Food is delivered to the rooms for every meal.

Frequently asked questions

A typical stay at an inpatient hospital is between 12-19 days depending on severity of injury or condition and insurance coverage.

Each of our hospitals have a cafeteria that supplies breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, with access to drinks and snack options all day.
