Motion Analysis Center – Brooks Rehabilitation

The Brooks Motion Analysis Center (MAC) is a specialized clinical and research assessment facility focused on gait and movement impairments in people of all ages.

We use innovative technology, expert clinical examination and biomechanical analysis to advance rehabilitation science and clinical practice. Our goal is to improve recovery and performance in individuals with neurologic and orthopedic impairments.

Preparing for Your Appointment

To complete a motion capture assessment, the cameras need to be able to โ€˜seeโ€™ your arms and legs move freely. We also need to see how your body moves and ensure our sensors stick to your skin.

What to wear:

  • Short sleeve shirt or tank top
  • Loose fitted shorts that can be rolled up, or spandex
  • Bathing suits are acceptable
  • Properly fitted shoes that do not cover the ankles
  • Hair tie to pull up long hair
  • NO LOTION or body oils/sprays

Brooks Behavioral Medicine

Brooks Behavioral Medicine provides cognitive and behavioral evaluation and therapy services related to the physical, mental and emotional recovery of patients after a traumatic injury or illness.

Brooks Programs

The behavioral health team oversees intensive rehabilitation therapy programs Brain Injury Day Treatment program and the Spinal Cord Injury Day Treatment programย for patients who have suffered a traumatic illness or injury and are ready to transition from the inpatient hospital setting to home.

Brooks Rehabilitation Neuro Recovery Center

The Neuro Recovery Center (NRC) state-of-the art rehabilitation gym is here to help members continue ongoing exercise and conditioning during and after traditional rehabilitation is complete.

Members receive access to our innovative technology and can utilize the gym up to six days per week.
