Rickey Walters is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital – Bartram Campus. In this capacity, he serves patients, families and caregivers during a patient’s hospital stay. Walters received a bachelor’s degree in sociology and Spanish from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida, and a master’s degree in social work from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.
Walters first joined Brooks Rehabilitation in 2021 as a member of the case management team after completing his final clinical internship at Brooks Rehabilitation Skilled Nursing Facility – Bartram Crossing. In 2023, Walters joined the Inpatient Psychology Department as a patient and family counselor at Brooks’ Bartram campus hospital. Currently, he works with a wide variety of medical diagnoses, assisting patients and their families with the emotional challenges of rehabilitation and recovery.
