Herniated Disc

A herniated disc describes a disc injury in the spine, where an area of the disc has bulged from its normal position and experienced a tear.

Herniated discs can often lead to pain across the low back, and can also press on the nerves that affect the limbs, causing radiating pain. Most disc herniation will heal on their own over time, however with rehabilitation focused on promoting healing of the disc, as well as supporting the spine through strength and stability exercises, can rapidly improve a patient’s symptoms and flexibility.
