Ages Treated
1 year old and above. Brooks hospitals are fully equipped for pediatric patients. We also have pediatric-specific outpatient clinics for therapy services.
Hospital Participation Restrictions
Must be able to participate in 3 hours of therapy 5 days a week. Therapy is tailored to the patient’s tolerance level.
Severity of Medical Care Needed
Potential patients are assessed by our medical team before admission to determine if we can meet the patient’s needs.

Rehabilitation Hospitals
24/7 rehabilitation hospital care with medical staff oversight. Provides 3 hours of therapy 5 days per week, tailored to the patient’s ability.
Skilled Nursing
Medical nursing care along with therapy services as the patient continues to recover.
Pediatric Day Program
Up to 3 hours of intensive interdisciplinary therapy to prepare the patient for life at home. For kids 8-18.
Outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation
With over 50 clinics across Florida, receive physical, occupational and speech therapy care with Brooks’ highly knowledgeable clinicians.
Pediatric Recreation
Brooks provides one of the most comprehensive programs in Florida to support the physical, social and emotional health of people with all types of disabilities.

School Re-entry
The Brooks School Re-entry Program provides a continuum of school transition and support services for children and adolescents at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital and Brooks outpatient clinics.
Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing
The feeding services at Brooks take a supportive, comprehensive approach that incorporates the child’s developmental needs while addressing behavioral and oral-motor feeding issues.

Brooks’ system of care accepts multiple types of insurance as well as Medicare and Florida Medicaid. We also provide self-pay options when insurance no longer covers treatment.
Brooks partners with health care systems locally, statewide, nationally and internationally — accepting referrals from most acute hospitals and physicians.
