Dr Tribuzio working with SCI patient

Brooks offers a wide range of therapy services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and much more. Our therapists receive some of the highest and most intensive training in the country in order to help our patients achieve their highest level of recovery.

Our therapy services are offered across our system of care including inpatient, outpatient, home health and skilled nursing. Brooks therapists also specialize in treating pediatric, teen, adult and geriatric patients to provide a higher level of care.

Inpatient therapy services

Our goal is to restore function and quality of life with an emphasis on maximizing a patient’s independence in self-care tasks, mobility, communication and cognition. We partner directly with our patients and families through comprehensive training, equipment selection and hard work to ensure that patients feel prepared and with the resources needed to continue the recovery journey.

Patients in our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals are assigned to a comprehensive care team that includes:

The care team also includes a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor, nurses, case managers, psychologists and neuropsychologists, dieticians and more.

Therapy is tailored to the patient’s tolerance level and is 3 hours a day, 5 days a week. Our inpatient hospitals have state-of-the-art therapy gyms on each floor with advanced rehabilitation technology to help patients progress in their daily therapy.

Additional therapy options to help patients gain more independence include:

Outpatient therapy services

The outpatient division of Brooks Rehabilitation provides excellent care for patients with a variety of conditions. We have programs and therapists who specialize in the areas of orthopedics, neurology, pediatrics, sports, womenโ€™s health and oncology. Our clinical expertise in physical, occupational and speech therapy stems from the desire for our therapists to complete credentialed Residency and Fellowship Programs as well as achieve Board Certification in their area of specialty.ย  Our traditional therapy programs are augmented by an immense variety of specialty programs, innovative technology and equipment, and community programs.

Patients can expect a thorough examination and comprehensive treatment plan that is based on the most recent evidence and tailored to individual needs and goals. We work collaboratively within our system to ensure that patients receive world-class care.

Skilled nursing therapy services

At Bartram Crossing and University Crossing, we offer physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. We service both short-term and long-term residents. Bartram Crossing also offers outpatient therapies at their location. Both locations have therapy staff members every day, including weekends and holidays. We each have beautiful facilities with the option of an outdoor therapy courtyard. Therapy schedules are customized for each patient based on their plan of care.

Our therapy teams are designated to specific diagnoses and divided into programmatic teams as follows; cardiac, medically complex, orthopedic, and neurological. Each diagnosis group has therapists specifically trained to treat these diagnoses.

Continued Education for Therapists
