
Clinician Scientist
Jaclyn Batteiger, PT, DPT, NCS, is a Brooks Rehabilitation Clinical Research Center (BRCRC) clinician-scientist. In 2015, she received a bachelor’s health science and minor in disability in society at the University of Florida in Gainesvilleย , Florida. She later earned a doctorate of physical therapy from the same institution.
In pursuit of providing optimal care to individuals with neurologic impairments, Dr. Batteiger completed the Brooks Institute of Higher Learningโs neurologic physical therapy residency and is a board-certified neurologic clinical specialist.
Dr. Batteiger began her career as a physical therapist with the Brooks Rehabilitation concussion and amputee programs. She also became a Lee Silverman Voice Treatment Behavioral Intensity Growth (LSVT BIG) practitioner and obtained her trigger point dry needling certification. Dr. Batteiger has served as an adjunct instructor at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida, and continues her relationship as a guest lecturer with the institution.
As a clinician-scientist in the neuromuscular research program, Dr. Batteiger assists in implementing studies that target rehabilitation in individuals following cerebrovascular accidents and spinal cord injuries.
