Fourier Rehab and Brooks Rehabilitation Sign Strategic MOU to Advance Research in Robotic Neurorehabilitation

Back to physical health resource hub
Fourier Rehab, a global leader in intelligent rehabilitation robotics, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Brooks Rehabilitation, a leader in physical rehabilitation for more than 50 years. This partnership establishes a collaborative framework to explore advanced clinical research using Fourier Rehabโs flagship robotic technologiesโArmMotusโข EMU and ExoMotusโข M4โat Brooks Rehabilitationโs cutting-edge Center for Innovation in Florida.
Fourier Rehab will deploy its flagship upper- and lower-limb robotic rehabilitation systems at Brooks Rehabilitation as part of the collaboration. These technologies will be integrated into Brooksโ research and clinical environment, where multidisciplinary teams will explore their clinical applications and potential to enhance therapeutic practices. Known for their intelligent assistance features, adaptive therapy modes, and real-time feedback, the systems will serve as a platform for ongoing innovation in rehabilitation care.
This MOU highlights both organizations’ shared vision to push the boundaries of evidence-based care by leveraging robotics, AI, and data analytics. The partnership aims to generate new clinical insights, validate best practices, and accelerate the adoption of high-tech rehabilitation tools in mainstream healthcare.
โBrooks Rehabilitation has an extraordinary legacy in clinical excellence and translational research. By combining our advanced robotics with Brooksโ deep clinical expertise and research infrastructure, we are taking a bold step toward shaping the future of rehabilitation science and redefining recovery pathways for patients worldwide,โ said Owen Teoh, managing director of Fourier Rehab International Division.
โAs one of the world leaders in rehabilitation technology and robotics, we are incredibly enthusiastic to collaborate with Fourier Rehab and for the potential of this partnership,โ said Mark Bowden, PhD, PT, vice president of Clinical Integration and Research for Brooks Rehabilitation. โThis collaboration is in perfect alignment with the Brooks Rehabilitation Center for Innovationโs mission of identifying the most efficient and effective ways to deliver rehabilitation to maximize a patientโs functional potential.โ
This collaboration represents a significant milestone in Fourier Rehabโs commitment to research-driven innovation and its mission to empower clinicians and improve lives through intelligent therapy systems. With ArmMotusโข EMU and ExoMotusโข M4 now in place at Brooks, the partnership will pave the way for robust joint studies and the co-creation of scalable therapy protocols informed by clinical data.
