Clinical Research Engineer
Michael earned his PhD in Biomechanics and Movement Sciences from the University of Delaware in 2025, completing an interdisciplinary program emphasizing engineering, exercise physiology, physical therapy, and computer programming. His doctoral research focused on developing novel instrumentation to more precisely quantify reactive balance control and fall-related movement strategies.
Michael joined Brooks in 2025 and is responsible for data collection and processing across diverse populations, including individuals post-stroke, individuals with spinal cord injury, individuals with Cerebral Palsy, amputees, and athletes recovering from ACL injury. His primary focus as a biomechanist is development of translational tools that empower researchers, clinicians, and patients to reduce fall risk, assess balance recovery, and improve movement outcomes in real-world settings.
