Assisted Living Facility (ALF)
An Assisted Living Facility (ALF) is a community centered around providing extra personalized assistance with an individual's care in a a safe home like setting that will ultimately allow the individual to continue living life with great dignity while having an autonomous lifestyle. Care can be in the form of medication management, bathing and dressing assistance or even help with ambulation and transferring - all forms of ADL's (Activities of Daily Living). Some communities have nurses on staff 24/7 for those individuals that may have more complicated needs.
