Kayla Ogle is a certified therapeutic recreational therapist at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital – University Campus. Ogle holds a master’s in recreation therapy from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and bachelor’s in biology from Salem College, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was a graduate assistant for UNC’s Department of Community and Therapeutic Recreation, and participated in a 15-week recreational therapy internship in Brooks Rehabilitation’s brain injury rehabilitation program through the Brooks Rehabilitation Institute of Higher Learning.
Ogle works primarily with brain injury and orthopedic patients, treating some of the most complex injury patients in the country. As a recreational therapist, She helps patients regain motor skills and an active lifestyle after injury through recreation and leisure activities. She is a frequent contributor to articles on recreational therapy for Brooks Rehabilitation.
