Expert interdisciplinary therapy
Expect a interdisciplinary therapy approach during rehabilitation. Depending on their needs, patients will receive up to three hours of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, recreational therapy and music therapy throughout various care settings.
State-of-the-art technology
Brooks uses some of the most advanced rehabilitation technology available, integrating new devices and techniques into each care plan to support progress and independence. Patients have access to robotics, exoskeletons, virtual rehab tech and more.
Behavioral medicine
Providing cognitive therapy, neuropsychology, psychology and family social work services, our behavioral health teams support the patient and their family through the changes they are experiencing and assessments to inform rehabilitation treatment and therapy to improve memory and problem solving.
Assistive technology
We assess a patient’s independence goals and needs at home and help provide specialized technology to achieve more independence in activities of daily living.
Continued rehabilitation support after initial recovery
Our specialized treatment services extend past inpatient rehabilitation. Expect continued rehabilitation services targeted to the unique needs of the brain injury survivor.
Motor speech disorders treatment
After a traumatic brain injury, speech can be affected. Brooks has one of the only programs in Florida to treat motor speech disorders.
Spasticity management
After a traumatic event, patients can experience tightening of muscles. Brooks’ experts help patients recover and manage spasticity on their own.
Communication disorders
Communication disorders can occur after a brain injury. Brooks provides some of the most expert communication disorder care in the nation.
Driver rehabilitation
After an injury or illness, getting independence back is important. Our Driver Evaluation and Training Program provides assessments and training for individuals with cognitive, physical or developmental issues to help determine their driving capabilities.

Rehabilitation Hospitals
24/7 rehabilitation hospital care with medical staff oversight. Provides 3 hours of therapy 5 days per week, tailored to the patient’s ability.

Skilled Nursing
Medical nursing care along with therapy services as the patient continues to recover.

Brain Injury Day Treatment Program
Up to 6 hours of intensive interdisciplinary therapy and behavioral health services to prepare the patient for home.

Home Health
Receive nursing, therapy and case management services in the home. Serving 23 Florida counties.

Outpatient Clinics
With over 50 clinics across Florida, continue cognitive therapy care after inpatient rehabilitation with Brooks’ highly knowledgeable clinicians.
Community programs
Providing continued support for patients' recovery goals, as well as social and vocational support, our community programs are available to patients after initial rehabilitation is complete.

Aphasia Center
