Chris became a single-leg amputee (LAKA) in a motor vehicle accident in 2013, at the age of 45. Due to extensive damage to his right leg, he uses a wheelchair for mobility. His biggest challenge when returning home was navigating the bathroom. He has used outpatient therapy and participates in Adaptive Sports and Recreation.
