Chris was injured in 2013 at the age of 43. He became a single-leg above-knee amputee as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Due to extensive damage to his other leg, Chris uses a wheelchair for mobility. His biggest challenge when returning home was navigating the bathroom. He has used outpatient therapy and participates in Adaptive Sports and Recreation.
