Acute and Chronic Dizziness

The distinction between acute and chronic is primarily made with the measure of time. Acute dizziness refers to symptoms that occur suddenly at the time of initial onset of the physiological issue. Symptoms remain categorized as acute for about 1-3 months. Chronic dizziness refers to symptoms that do not resolve on their own after about 3 months or continue to recur.
