Brooks Rehabilitation Appoints Eric K. Mann as new Chairman of the Board

Jacksonville, Fla., Jan. 11, 2023 – Brooks Rehabilitation today announced the appointment of Eric K. Mann as their new Chairman of the Board, effective Jan 1. Mann succeeds Bruce Johnson, who recently stepped down as Chairman. Johnson has served on a Brooks Rehabilitation board since 1989, serving as Chairman since June 2015, and will continue as a prominent board member.

Mann has served as President and CEO of the YMCA of Florida’s First Coast since 2011 and has been with the YMCA movement for more than 40 years leading and serving in YMCAs across the country including Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, New Haven, and Asheville.

Mann has served on the Brooks Rehabilitation Board since June 2015. In addition, he was elected by the membership of the Jacksonville Civic Council (JCC) to become its sixth chairman of the board. He is also an active board member for Baptist Medical Center, Fifth Third Bank, Patriot Transportation, Inc., Timuquana Country Club, and Mars Hill University. He is a Jax Chamber Trustee and a member of THE Players Council. Mann also serves as Chair of the South African YMCA Coalition.

Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation with a minor in Psychology from Mars Hill University in North Carolina where he also serves as a Trustee for the Mars Hill University Board.
