Brooks Rehabilitation was presented with a mayoral proclamation honoring 50 years as a comprehensive source for physical rehabilitation services.
Little did we know that our companyโs 50-year anniversary would occur during a global pandemic that has disrupted our lives in many ways. As we have learned this year, sometimes things come at us โout of left fieldโ both in our professional and personal lives. This is what many of our patients and families experience when they suffer a devastating injury or illness or in dealing with an aging family member. Just like so many of our patients, our organization has overcome obstacles and continued to progress beyond any limitations.
During National Rehabilitation Week, Jacksonville, Fla., Mayor Lenny Curry recognized Brooks with a proclamation honoring our 50 years as a comprehensive source for physical rehabilitation services. We were especially thankful for this socially distanced recognition of our commitment to those who need us.
As we reflect on our 50 years of serving the needs of our patients and community, we are more determined than ever to continue to enhance our programs and services and to be the leader in our industry. We will continue to build on the principles of compassion, service, innovation and servant leadership our founder, Dr. J. Brooks Brown, instilled in our culture. We will also prepare for the future and our next 50 years as a company. In the words of Dr. Brown, โChange is constant and essential…Blessed are they that look to the futureโฆ the past is history, the present is fleetingโฆthe future presents the opportunity.โ
