At 16, Robbie was involved in a motor vehicle accident that resulted in a spinal cord injury. Today, he relies on a manual wheelchair, uses catheters, and maintains a bowel program. One of the most challenging aspects of transitioning back home was adapting to the bathroom in his house. Still, Robbie has overcome this obstacle with resilience. Now, he leads a fulfilling life surrounded by friends and family, embracing the mantra “variety is the spice of life.” He enjoys exploring new experiences and has been an active member of the Brooks Ballers wheelchair basketball team. Robbie is open and comfortable discussing all aspects of living with a spinal cord injury.
