Steve sustained a traumatic injury in 2018 at the age of 52, resulting in the amputation of his leg below the knee. He now uses a prosthetic to navigate daily life. One of his biggest challenges in transitioning home after the injury was regaining his ability to walk and maintain balance while using crutches and his prosthetic. Despite these obstacles, Steve has shown determination and resilience in adapting to his new reality.
