Brooks Rehabilitation has once again been recognized as one of the best rehabilitation hospitals in the country per U.S. News & World Report’s 2026-2027 “Best Hospitals for Rehabilitation” rankings. This marks the fourth consecutive year Brooks has earned this prestigious accolade.

Of the 1,131 hospitals that U.S. News evaluated for Rehabilitation, only the 300 highest-scoring hospitals earned a “Best” designation and a state ranking. The top 50 receive a national ranking. Brooks was again ranked among those top 50 hospitals nationwide.

The methodology for the list changed this year, putting greater emphasis on successful discharge to home, avoidance of readmission during and 30-days after their inpatient rehabilitation stay and patient volumes. Brooks Rehabilitation is recognized for its specialized care for patients with complex diagnoses, including stroke, transplant, cancer, traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury.

“Patients from across the country rely on Brooks for our expert care and innovative technology,” said Trevor H. Paris, M.D., FAAPMR, system chief medical officer at Brooks Rehabilitation. “For more than 50 years, we’ve been caring for the most complex rehabilitation cases. We are proud to be nationally recognized for delivering exceptional care with remarkable outcomes.”

The annual U.S. News & World Report rankings aim to help patients and their healthcare providers make informed decisions about where to receive exceptional care. Rankings for rehabilitation hospitals are based on an in-depth analysis of patient outcomes, the complexity of care provided, and hospital performance. Hospitals must excel in treating the most medically complex cases to secure a spot among the nation’s highest-ranked facilities.
