Howard Weiss, DO
Medical Director of the Orthopedic/Trauma Program
Dr. Weiss graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1988. He completed his internship at Coney Island Hospital and his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Affiliated Hospitals.
Dr. Weiss was an independent practitioner in the Jacksonville area for 16 years when he joined the Brooks Rehabilitation Medical Group in 2012. His specific interest and expertise is in the area of orthopedic rehabilitation.
In 2023, Weiss was awarded the prestigious Nemours Children’s Health Joseph E. Bourdon Sports Medicine Achievement Award from the Jacksonville Sports Medicine Program for demonstrating sincere interest and passion in the area of youth sports safety advocacy, and for providing significant and lasting contributions that enhance the quality of healthcare by sports medicine providers, as well as advance the profession.
Dr. Weiss currently serves as faculty for the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
