Kerry A. Maher, PT, MD, has been practicing medicine for over 25 years. Dr. Maher earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia-Augusta University, Georgia. She completed an internship in internal medicine at the Medical College of Georgia and a three-year residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago at Northwestern University, Chicago, now called the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab.
After her residency, she joined the academic faculty at the Spain Rehabilitation Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Alabama. In 2004, Dr. Maher joined Brooks Rehabilitation as a consulting physician. After assuming several leadership positions within Brooks, she officially joined the executive team in 2020. She lecture throughout the southeast and nationally about rehabilitation while managing Brooks consult service. She also leads Brooks Rehabilitationโs education department.
Dr. Maher currently serves as faculty for the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
