Dr. Tewari specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, with clinical interests in brain injury medicine, stroke rehabilitation and helping patients maximize function and independence. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a medical degree from Albany Medical College. He completed a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University, where he served as chief resident, followed by a brain injury medicine fellowship at TIRR Memorial Hermann and UTHealth McGovern School of Medicine.
Dr. Tewari is actively involved in research and education related to brain injury, stroke and rehabilitation medicine. He presents his work at national conferences, including the Association of Academic Physiatrists, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals.
