Hereโs a quick sneak peek at some of the Arts In Recovery programs we will be introducing:
Body & Soul โ The Art of Healing
Body & Soul โ The Art of Healing is an award winning non-profit organization designed to blend the numerous resources of Jacksonvilleโs Arts Community into an extensive offering for healthcare institutions.
Brooks Rehabilitationโs partnership provides the opportunity for musicians to play for our patients on a one on one basis every Monday throughout the month, and group sessions periodically at our Hospital and Bartram campuses.
Hope at Hand
Hope at Hand, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching children and adults to process and document love, life and loss through the use of creative expression, journaling, reading and writing poetry. Participants are also engaged in art therapy techniques that include painting, sewing and collage.
Brooks Rehabilitation offers these sessions of โCreative Expressionโ to both children and adults.
Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra
Each year, we bring the beautifully crafted works of Beethoven and Mozart right to our patients! Ensembles from the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra perform concerts for our patients, caregivers, and staffโs listening pleasure.
Brooks Rehabilitation also receives Heartstring Ticket Vouchers for use at Friday morning Coffee Concerts to enable patients and their caregivers daytime opportunities for cultural enrichment.
Music & Memory
Brooks Rehabilitation is now Music & Memory certified! The Music & Memory Certificationis grounded in extensive neuroscience research about how our brains respond to music, tested and proven in hundreds of long-term care facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Through the use of personalized playlists delivered through Ipods and other digital devices, it is our goal to foster an environment that will deliver a higher quality of life to our Bartram residents.
