Helen's House is a nonprofit hospitality house offering affordable short-term lodging to Brooks patients and their caregivers.
Helen's House is conveniently located across from Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital - University Campus and University Crossing Skilled Nursing Facility on Beach Blvd in Jacksonville, FL.
Guest Requirements
- Helen’s House serves patients of Brooks and their caregivers only. To qualify to stay with us, guests must have a referral initiated by a case manager or nurse liaison sent to Helen’s House.
- A guest can remain eligible to stay if their loved one remains admitted to a Brooks Inpatient setting (Hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility, Skilled Nursing Unit) or is taking part in the Brain Injury Day Treatment, SCI Day Treatment or the Intensive Aphasia Center Program.
- All guests and caregivers must reside outside the following five counties: Duval, Nassau, St. Johns, Clay and Baker.
- Guests may stay at Helen’s House for a minimum of two nights.

What to Expect
Guest Rooms
Each room can accommodate up to 3 guests. Includes a queen bed, a pullout sofa and a private handicap bathroom in each room.
Amenities
Large community kitchen for meal preparation, free Wi-Fi, community rooms, business office, laundry room on each floor and a fitness room.
Cost
Self-pay rate is $55 for the first night and $40 per night after with a $15 monthly cleaning fee.
