Motion analysis for athletics
Through analysis and data, we help athletes improve performance and stay safe by providing them with the information to help prevent injuries or determine if it is safe to return to sport after an injury.
What to Expect
An assessment includes:
-
Detailed movement data
-
Key findings about your movement
-
Personalized rehab recommendations
After an assessment, a report is developed for you and your healthcare provider to guide care and treatment decisions.
Performance through prevention program

Our goal is to help athletes stay healthy and provide an edge on the competition. By using motion analysis and clinical assessments, we provide customized recommendations for injury prevention and performance improvement.
Return to sport
For athletes with sports-related injuries, the MAC provides a comprehensive assessment to identify key concerns that may limit a safe return to competitive sports activities.
Our testing can highlight such issues as limb asymmetries and abnormal movement patterns or compensations that could lead to re-injury if not addressed.
For more information, please see the MAC Sports Assessment Guide.
Pediatric clinical program
The MAC also provides assessments for children with neurological or developmental disorders whose impairments may impact walking function.
By identifying key impairments, we are able to provide recommendations to your child’s healthcare provider to guide rehabilitation, identify orthotic needs and aid in surgical planning/recovery.
For more information, please see the MAC Walking Assessment Guide.
Preparing for an appointment

To complete a motion capture assessment, the cameras need to be able to ‘see’ your arms and legs move freely. The clinicians also need to see how your body moves and ensure the sensors stick to your skin. Here are some best practices to follow when preparing for your appointment to make the session as effective as possible.
