Assistant Medical Director of Admissions

Dr. Galea completed his BS in electrical/computer engineering at the University of Malta and then went on to obtain a M.S. in Information, Networks and Computer Security at the New York Institute of Technology and ultimately obtained a MD degree from the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont. He completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the University of Alabama where he served as the Chief Resident.

Dr. Galea joins Dr. Shah as an attending physiatrist at the Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital – Bartram Campus in 2022. However, for this next year Dr. Galea will be an attending physiatrist at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital – University Campus. His primary clinical focus is with the Stroke and Brain Injury patient population working together with Dr. List and Dr. Ngo. He will also be seeing outpatients at the Brooks Rehabilitation Medical Group (BRMG) clinic at the Healthcare Plaza.
