Helen's House

Helen's House is a nonprofit hospitality house offering affordable temporary lodging to Brooks patients and their caregivers. Named in honor of Helen Brown, the wife of Brooks Rehabilitation founder J. Brooks Brown, MD. Helen was a welcoming and gracious host who made everyone she met feel like they were part of the family.

To stay at Helen’s House, guests must have a referral initiated by a case manager or nurse liaison. Once the referral is sent to Helen House, the booking staff will reach out to you at their earliest convenience to reserve a room.

Helen’s House serves caregivers and families of Brooks Rehabilitation patients that live outside Duval, Clay, Nassau, St. Johns, and Baker counties. Guests must have a referral from the patient’s Brooks Rehabilitation Case Manager in order to qualify to stay with us. For the safety and well-being of all other guests, patients who choose to stay at Helen’s House during their treatment and are not safely independent must have a caregiver (18 years of age or older) stay with them for their entire stay.
