How does the RT200 work?
The RT200 is a unique seated elliptical that uses functional electrical stimulation (FES) to stimulate the nerves to generate muscle contractions. By stimulating the nerves through the arms and legs in a reciprocating fashion, the RT200 is able to generate patterned muscle movement in the arms and legs in order to improve the a patient’s functional strength and range of motion, on top of many other health benefits.
In addition to simultaneous arm and leg exercise, the RT200 is unique in the ability to adjust the level of stimulation as muscle strength increases.
